 Animation basics video

a)Summarise 3-5 things you learned?

After watching the video a I learnt a few things about the animation of object. I learnt the importance of timing and spacing that is needed, so that the animation looks smooth and accurate to the thing that is being animated. I've also learnt that the more spacing the quicker an object travels and the smaller the gap the slower the object travels.

At 3m40 there is a straight line with lots of little lines through... what do the small lines (going horizontally) represent?

The small lines represent the position of the ball, if the spacing was closer together the ball would travel slower and if the spacing was bigger the ball would travel quicker.

b)Draw your own version - draw that grid

c)Draw it again to represent the ball slowing down... when it gets to the top and bottom

d)Draw it again to represent the ball speeding up when it gets to the top and the bottom

e) Can you think of real-life scenarios where something might speed up in the middle, or slow down in the middle?

An example of something speeding up in the middle might be throwing a punch, and an example of something slowing down in the middle might be someone jumping.
