What is manageable?

As of my initial thoughts, I will be creating a 2d animation in animate where all I will need to do is draw my character and all the other things I will need. This will be manageable as all I'll need is a Wacom and adobe animate.  The reason I decided to go with something like this is because I like to keep everything simple and minimalistic and this will be exactly that, there won't be huge amount of bright colours and different colours and there also won't be too much going on in terms of . Another main reason why I decided to with such a simple design is because I'm not a skilled artist that can draw some magical and amazing things.

Initial ideas

My initial ideas for this project is to create an animation is adobe animate, where I draw a character in at least 4 different positions, to make it look like he is walking. I then need to create a floor that will also move as my character moves too, I will then have images hand drawn of things I like and my hobbies and possibly something about me, eg. where I'm from. I decided to do this type of animation as this is the one I'm most comfortable with and think I can do the best in. Overall in the animation there won't be too much going on, it will be simple and minimalistic and I might add some colour to make it that little bit more interesting to whoever is watching it.

What will success look like to you?

For me, success on this project will look like this, if I'm able to complete the project to a standard I'm personally happy with and enjoy it, that will be success for me. Also if the video I make catches other people's eyes and they enjoy it too, that will be success for me to. Anything that gives a positive comment on something positive towards the work I made, being that from me or from a class mate or teacher or whoever is success for me and I will be extremely happy with that.

Research

I watched this video to get an idea on how to create a moving/ looping background in animate as that is something I will most likely use in my own animation. The tutorial was really good, had a lot of detail and it gave me a good idea on how to create it.
